The Social Cinema Foundation came from the realization that there is an urgent need for the voices of the undervalued to be heard. Three years ago, an opportunity was presented to create a film program in South Central Los Angeles. Diving head first into the world of public education, I was tasked with educating over 300 students about the world of filmmaking. Little did I know the transformation my heart would undergo working with this community.
The Social Cinema Foundation is a continuation of that education. So many of these kids need a space and venue to pursue their passion for filmmaking. These kids have inspired and compelled me to be of service to them and future filmmakers to discover and share their passion and gifts to make the world a better place. I hope you will join me on this journey.
