Social Cinema played an active role in the 2020 Get Out The Vote efforts for the Presidential election.
As the 2020 presidential election approached, Americans were feeling a wide range of emotions. The Social Cinema Vote Your Voice Matters campaign was designed to motivate voters of all ages, specifically Gen Z and Millennials, to actively participate in the voting process.
We were able to authentically connect and provide voting information, along with our partner the National Urban League, with potential voters through various digital media. All while giving our youth a visual platform to express themselves.
Contestants submited 30 second, non-partisan PSA ready videos on topics such as, the importance of young people voting, how to avoid voter suppression schemes, and how to vote safely during COVID-19. We received videos from all over the country.
The Social Cinema staff identified the top 10 videos and submitted them to a panel of celebrity judges. These judges picked the top 3.
Celebrity judges include, John Salley – NBA Champion, Darryl McDaniels – Run DMC, Marc H. Morial – National Urban League, John Marshall Jones – acclaimed actor, Suzanne Shank – business owner, and Attika Torrence – Producer and Director!
